Opening and Closing Times for the Gate:
The school gate will be open from 7:30 am (summer) and 8 am (winter) and we ask that children should not be dropped off at school before then. We will also close the gate at 8:00 am (summer) and 8:30 am (winter) and should you be late, please contact the office at 060-966-9701 to open the gate.
At the end of the school day, the gate will be open from 1:45 pm and close at 2:30 pm. If you are late in collecting your child, please contact the school.
For the safety of your child, please have your child walk in front of cars, not behind any cars in the parking lot.
Collection of Children:
Please inform us if anyone else will be fetching your children from school, as we would like to ensure that your children get home safely.
What to send to school:
Water bottle (every day)
Summer - sunscreen, swimming costume, and towel. (Please mark all clothing/items.)
Winter – warm clothing (in layers, enabling students to add or remove items as necessary), jackets, and gumboots (Please mark all items.)
Please send your child in comfortable walking shoes as they go for a walk first thing in the morning (weather permitting). Walking is excellent exercise with numerous health benefits. It also improves the children’s attention in class as it gets their blood flowing. It is an important part of our daily program.
Please DO NOT send any food, books, or toys with your child to school. We also do not allow cell phones at school. If your child needs to bring a cell phone to school, it is to be handed in at the office or to their teacher and can be collected when they go home.
Your child will be supplied with all stationery, snacks, and a nutritious lunch.
We ask that during the school term, all refined sugar is kept out of your child’s diet to ensure that they can have focused attention in class. Replace sugar with fresh and preservative-free dried fruit, honey, or pure fructose.
Swimming:
If the temperature is above 25 degrees, the children are allowed to swim. Please send their costumes and towels to school if the weather looks promising.
Communication:
All communication, including relevant information for the week or important upcoming dates, is managed by the teacher via WhatsApp.
Should you have a query, please communicate through the office.
